Raise an eyebrow for a red breast!
Morning Observations:
Today was quite a hectic morning. With 11 degrees, 6 meters per second from east, and five co-observers i had plenty to write and do. In total i had 167 datalines with 57 different species, what a day! Highest numbers were more than a thousand wigeons (pibeænder). We also had roughly 150 brant geese (knortegæs). In a surprising turn of events we had one mallard (grågås) and two greater scaup (bjergænder) migrating south troughout the day. Raptor wise we had a couple of sparrowhawks (spurvehøg) and my mother spotted a hen harrier (Blå kærhøg) that flew behind our backs. We also had 6 canadian geese (canadagæs). Though it is nearing the end of wader-season we still had som dunlins (almindelig ryle), sanderlings (sandløber), Bar-tailed godwits (lille kobbersneppe), and ofcourse oystercathers (strandskader). As the sun got higher in the sky we also had some sporadic barnswallows (landsvale). All in all another wonderful day at the obs!

Ringing:
With a soft breeze in the morning the day continued on a very slow and conforting pace! Soon after starting we caught a Red-breasted Flycatcher! This was especially exciting as I have just had a conversation the previous day with Bent, the former station manager, who always seems to have the perfect predictions on what we will catch in the days to come!
The rest of the morning went by fairly quickly as the weather was getting a little bit worse. However in contrast to the best bird of the day, we also had a most handsome bird of the day! This wounderful little coal tit with a perfectly plugged white eyebrow!
